Original Message:   More about the 3-headed bead-
Hans- i discovered that this 3-faced pale chalcedony bead with eyes incised using a circle-dot tool seems to me to be very similar to beads found in Syria, in Hababu Kabira, of 3rd millennium BC. It is illustrated on p. 18 in my bead collectors book. it was bought by me quite a while ago with no information. My collection of many items is unfortunately kept in my workshop which is currently locked up, not at home, so i'm using images already in my computer and i don't have a view from above showing the hole. Next time i can sneak a visit i may get it, but am obeying the stay-at-home advice now. my son and daughter don't want to lose their kids' granny yet...
