From my FB page, 2011—this is a detail photo from the Timeline exhibit at The Bead Museum in AZ—where I installed three beads from Khambat (Cambay), India. These had been made to the specifications of Mark Kennoyer—who gave them to me in the late-'80s/early-'90s. The top mottled carnelian bead is ca. 3.25" or 8cm long—and at that time was the second-longest bead they made for him. And these beads were expressly made to copy ancient Harappan beads from ca. 5,000 years ago. JDA. Copyright 2024
