Original Message:   these venetian beads
in my collection over the years a set of Venetians like these with an even number of regular size beads plus a single larger matching one would've been intended for a long 1900/20's tassel design necklace also sometimes known as a Liberty necklace (because of the London store that was selling them when they were the latest trend). the design was a very long V -shape with lengths of small embroidery beads separating these and featuring a tassel of the small beads below the largest venetian at the point of the V. i don't think of them as "Wedding cakes".
