In the past...I took apart some agate beads with silver end caps.
I found that the beads used were very old to ancient Peme rika beads with very damaged perf's.
The beads were not sellable in that condition so the end caps were installed to make the beads sellable.
The dZi beads you show in your pictures are newer ones' 1970's or newer.
I'm not sure why the caps were added to them other then to make them look better.
I can't say anything about the value of your beads but I'm sure not more then $5.oo/bead or so.
Have fun with those beads you can't go wrong.
