we have handled beads of similar sizes in similar uneven orange and other coloured glass with very rough moulded shapes- they are lamp wound but then pushed into a mould- though the extra flow of glass at the mould seams hasn't been ground away. i bet they have white powder in the holes and are Indian products from 1970s? are they strung as Hindu prayer beads/malas?
