Definitely not plywood. Apitong, is thought by some to be a low grade teak. When it was abundant it was used as a utility wood, crating & pallets. Manufacturing of wooden beads would be a logical use for utilizing the scraps. I believe the bands that we see are growth rings. Copyright 2024
