Original Message:   Interesting beads…
I have found a number of collectors will pay about half of the price asked by this ebay seller…But if you really want to know if these beads will sell at these prices, you must test today's market -as this dealer is doing.

Since it is somewhere between difficult to impossible finding pricing precedence with rare items, I decided long ago to pay a price based upon two considerations: #1. artistic merit…and #2. replacement value -if I were to ask a contemporary artisan to try to replicate the piece.

P.S. Half of the ebay seller's ojime are not accurately described. However, I am used to this problem because most sellers do not describe antique beads properly. It is my responsibility to decide what is right for me.
