Beads were not the only things examined at dinner. These pieces of amazonite were somewhat translucent. The color, we were told, was even better in sunlight. Bassem took care of the financial details after we were given the single check for 15 people. This was subject to an unusual amount of scrutiny by his table mates. I'll try to get more pictures during the week. It's hard to talk and look at beads and remember to get snapshots, too.
