Original Message:   Re: Indo-Pacific Beads articles 2016
Hi Chris,

Two articles come to mind that were published in 2016, both in Science Direct.

The first by Shinu Abraham is mainly about the manufacture of Indo-Pacific Beads in India and their impact on trade in the region. It contains new data about the archaeology and expands very usefully on Peter Francis's work.

The second is by two Belgian researchers, Constantin Pion and Bernard Gratuze, about a large quantity of Indo-Pacific beads that have apparently been discovered in 6th century Merovingian sites in France. It's exciting if correct, but I'm still doubtful about some of their findings.
