Original Message:   A Peter Francis, Jr. Bead -- Info Sought

Lori Pendleton at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC just received a note from the mother of Peter Francis, Jr.'s, great nephew inquiring about the bead in the attached image. It was first purchased for Pete's parents during a visit to the grand bazaar in Tehran, Iran in the early 1970s. It then passed to the great nephew after Pete's death. The family would like to know more about this bead which is described as etched glass... "its type, age, and origin." Can anyone provide the information?
