Original Message:   Molded bohemian beads
Today on the project I encountered what I believe to be molded bohemian beads. They are black glass, about 5 - 6 mm diameter, roughly hexagonal, and faceted. The hole is much larger on one side than the other and on the small side there is an indentation that opens up the hole. However no two of these beads are identical and some are rather irregular which has the analyst saying that they are hand ground. Does anybody have information on the manufacturing processes of these beads they could share with me?

For those that do not know I work on an archaeology project that is removing an 19th century graveyard from a future construction project. We are under contract to the county and because of the nature of the project I am forbidden from posting any pictures. Sorry!
