Lots of beads do not have specific names. Perhaps most of them.

These are squat melon-form glass beads. (That's a description, and not a name.) They have some congruency to what are popularly called "dog tooth" beads—though "dog tooth" beads generally have a crude white band around the equator. This is not a name that I like, and I have no idea where it came from.

I think you are correct in describing them as "fluted," "lobed"—and as "squashed pumpkins." Perhaps not their professional name (!).
