I don't find it's badly drilled. It's smooth around the large hole and just tight in the middle to go through with my thread of 1mm. And the beads seem quite old since the original thread broke down as shown in the first picture. Did the indians make in graduated size their stone beads? Thanks for the idea of aventurine.
