These are the first "nila" beads I was able to handle and shoot. The lower group is in great condition. The upper beads behind them are the same color(s), but have decayed to white. Photographed in 1987. Note that the beads are generally convex on one end (the top surface when they were manufactured); and are flat on their lower surface. This is a natural result of slumping.
