Original Message: stone pendants from west africa. Period ? |
---|
Hello to everyone, I would appreciate some information about the two strands (files). Some of the pendants might be even neolithic. What I found in literature was, that the triangle pendants are probably from old kingdoms in West Africa and date from 1100 to 1700 after christ. The holes are mainly very thin in the middle and pierced from both sides. Some of the very long pendants might reach up to neolithic times (1000 b.c. or older. I am very unsure with the bigger round pendants. The cristall clear on is 3 cm. The strand has also has many drops like birnels and some amulets and one pendant which looks like a "Lot". The stones are Quarz, achat, carneol, jasper, rock cristall and 1 amazonite. I would like to know more about those "Sahara" beads. Thanks a lot for information. renaid All rights reserved by Bead Collector Network and its users |
