Moroccans are some of the best buyers of beads in Mali, Senegal, Mauritania!!!!! Most probably the beads in the picture were indeed purchased in one of these countries! You seem to be in doubt about the fact that Mauritanian women purchase pieces of Morfias at top prices!Its true! I've seen this with my own eyes!!!Not only that, they will break up a bead to share with other family members! What do they do with the bead fragments????? They set them in gold like precious stones! It is a prestigeous thing to own a set of gold jewelery with Morfia pieces. Look at the pictures below. The stones are Morfia and ancient carnalian fragments! This is a must-have for the well-to-do Mauritanian! if, I told you the price, you would not believe me!
Your question, why don't Morrocans sell their beads to Maure women really surprised me! Mauritanian women don't have anything to do with a man that is not a male relative!! I would be surprised that one would even consider sitting down to talk business with a male stranger!
