The limpid blue glass seems similar - perhaps identical - to the glass used in court necklaces and mandarin hat finials. I once had a similar necklace in larger football-shaped melon beads with an old-fashioned silk tassel, similar (but nicer than, haha) this one currently on offer on eBay 173160830656.
