You will find a lot of useful information here. Curiously, there is a general perception that the folks in Morocco "know their amber," and that their word can be trusted (and often it can, I'm sure). But, in my amber lecture, I show about six images that all purport to be "amber," bought or acquired in Morocco, and all of various fakes.
