What an interesting idea, the book will practically write itself. I look forward to seeing examples of the repairs on beads, which, as you say, often add to the charm and value. I don't have examples of beads to cite, but I read recently that our intrepid RAF boys repaired a hole in the fusilage of a Nimrod (out of Kinloss, Scotland) with a handy teapot.
