as i notice relatively recent fastener pieces at the ends its most likely the beads which appear ancient were gathered and then put together in a collar-like design layout. it seems to have been done quite a lot when Egyptian treasures first became popular, around the 1920s. the long beads appear to be on wires or eye pins with a loop at either end that allows this arrangement. Does the wire look old? Surviving ancient textiles beadwork and strands would have been on linen.

those earrings are an interesting addition!
