Thanks for that information. The snuff box was certainly made in London by Huguenot craftsmen. The interest to the family is the history, not commercial value. It's intruiging to speculate the where & how, in the 17th century, Ivory was obtained & imported. Nobody could condone modern day trafficking in elephant Ivory.
