Well i often justify my purchases of job lots by telling myself I'm helping a vendor make a sale, and sometimes there may be treasures among the stuff, or something that sends me off in a new direction of discovery- which may be shared.
We may rescue items and bring them into the spotlight-
And sometimes it may be possible to mend a necklace on the spot without charging-
And another good deed is whenever there is an impossible knot, to spend time patiently and gradually doing the untangling... often happens when teaching....
Are these the kind of deeds you mean, Fred?
