Laws in various countries have made the decision for me... I will hold the few pieces of ivory I have left, but will not sell it or ship it. As far as other materials, they all seem to have hazards or politically incorrect actions behind their creation. In general, I prefer to avoid beads made of wild animal materials, including coral. Wild animals.... no. Domesticated animals.... maybe. I consider pearls a 'domesticated' species grown on 'farms' or in tanks. All rights reserved by Bead Collector Network and its users |
