Original Message:   Eye candy: sample cards from the Czech Republic

I just spent a few days in Jablonec, and was able to photograph sample cards from the archives of the museum. This is just a sample of some of the beauty I saw. Every card tells such a great story of production, trying to mimick designs from far away places and precious materials, and of trying to show of the skill of the producer is the best light. More will be posted on my website, but for now.....Enjoy! Most of these are from two Export companies, Sachse & Co and Wilhelm Klaar. Most cards date from 1900 to 1930.
