I would not call this beads "resin beads". From the photo they appear to be plastic - some synthetic material. Yes, it's the "vibe", the feel, the whole appearance that is wrong (in my opinion), to give them a true religious significance for a Muslim. If yours has 33 beads, though, it is able to do "the job".
