Original Message: ~13 layers |

Why should I "saymore", Mister Seymour...? Yes, I repeat, a classic Italian Chevron with that many layeres. I recall 13 layers, but maybe just 12, though it could also have 14 changing colors/layers inside out! The bead I am refering to is DEFINITELY Italian, definitely old and certainly (somewhere) in my possession. As soon as I find it - in an actual mess, I must repeat - I post a photo. It is not a huge piece and the condition is not prestine. The outer layer is blue! Not a piece from the earliest times around 1475-1600, but certainly not a new one. As a guess I would say it has been made between ~1880-1920. You can have the bead, if it means something to you as a specimen of proof or reference! I`ll bring it with me to Tucson, but will post a photo, should I find it before! All rights reserved by Bead Collector Network and its users |
