Just got home from Lela's (our daughter for those that don't know)and saw these posts. I am 95% sure this is an agate, that said I will put it under the microscope tomorrow and see if any bubbles are there, I will also do a scratch test. This bead may well have come from Burma I will have to quiz Hassan, it is my understanding that it came to him via Pakistan. Will keep you posted. Thank you for the feedback it gave me something to think about. All my best ........ Danny I hesitated using Dzi but in my recent reading it seems there are many beads that the Burnese call Dzi, I guess we don't have to have a name for every bead after all a cool bead is a cool bead no matter the name put on it.
