Considering the far ranging offerings for 'Venetian' beads on Ebay, and the blatant misrepresentation of some beads, your little mistake is no big deal. It is entirely understandable why you would call these Venetian. They certainly look Venetian. They are based on Venetian designs.
If they buyer wanted old Venetians, yours are not it. But don't feel badly. The buyer just took advantage so they could be returned at your cost, not theirs. Next time just state you think these might be modern reproductions. The beads are attractive, the necklace nicely designed.
