Original Message:   Chevrons from Nepal: pseudo-aged perhaps in Nepal, product of India
Starting late 80s - early 90s, "chevron" beads from India. They are not made using the traditional drawn and molded cane method, but a hot-strip method where the additional colors are laid individually upon the previous layer. They don't use a star mold to create the pattern. The resulting pattern is more haphazard, even "shakey" compared to drawn and star molded rosetta cane chevrons. The more of them you see, as long as you are trying to learn to recognize them, the more you will notice. These show a lot of air pockets and are not ground nicely to reveal much of the design of the inner layers, and they were aged who-knows-how...possibly oiled, dirtied, and rubbed...or maybe dragged from a bicycle! :)
