Original Message: Old Jade?? |
---|
Hello, Found these at a Gem & Mineral Show last weekend. Fairly sure the beads are old jade, of white type I'm thinking Old Hetian(?), based on internet images. My question would be, each bead has rough calcium like patches on the surfaces and inside the bead holes. Would this indicate extreme heating or that they were excavated, as I've read soil PH can cause these type of markings. One bead has an extremely weathered surface and a faint 9-eye DZI pattern. It also has these white blotchy patches. This one looks like a greenish/yellow agate. Any thoughts on these beads are appreciated. Excited to string a necklace with them!
