Original Message:   Being creative can be frustrating!!
As most of you know I decided that I was going to facet a truly amazing piece of chevron cane Art gave me. This cane is so perfect that you would think it came from a machine. I guess it did a master human machine named Art Seymour. The cane is so perfect that I was able to cut 16 facets that perfectly split each tip of his glass work again this cane could not be hand made any better.

As you can see in my top image the bead half done is very exciting. I decided today that I was going to start the facets on the second half, the bead is slid onto a very slightly oversize wooden mandrel with no adhesive. I had the bead half way onto the mandrel and then encountered that famous oops moment, you can see the oops in the second image.

Gotta love these frustrating moments it teaches you that things don’t always go as planned. It also try’s your patience.

All my best .......... Danny
