Could I get some opinions/insight into these beads? Ancient? Asian?

Just purchased yesterday. Went out on a limb because ancients are not something I know much about, but the looked and felt good to me. Wonder what other (much more experienced) eyes might think. The large bead in the center has been etched in a cross-hatch pattern around the stringing hole and over the smaller lobe. Does anyone recognize this shape? I was told they might be Egyptian, but they look more Asian to me. Thanks in advance!

I think you are correct Ali, it appears to resemble the little carved ducks used as weights, the picture shows it upside down, I have included an example from the web strictly to illustrate

I find the engraving on this bead to be suspicious. It's wheel-cut crude.
