Original Message:   auto glass crack repair?
I've heard about crack repair for automobile windshields. The fractured bead might benefit from something like that. How is glue forced into the crack though? If I took a bead to one of the local window shops I wonder how they would react?

Someone elsewhere suggested clear nail polish for the chipped area for stabilization. It would be removable if necessary. Yea or nay?

I was elated to win the ebay auction. It somehow was overlooked by the usual fierce bidders for foiled beads because main keywords were absent. It is my first win for foiled beads after losing dozens and dozens of times. The joy evaporated upon seeing shards in the box. I bought the necklace to wear. Now it's just another bag of beads waiting for repair.

And the dilemma, send them back or keep them anyway and try to deal with the seller? I know you've been there. Double punishment... have them arrive damaged and then have to send back the parts. And it could have easily been avoided. Of course I'm keeping them, but now the strand is too short.
